Description

This namespace is used for identifiers assigned to a patient's PBS Patient Safety Net record by Services Australia.

The identifier format is proposed as a prefix of “SN” (Safety Net) or “CN” (Concession), followed by 9–10 numeric digits, with validation pattern:

  • ^(SN|CN)[0-9]{9,10}$
In OID-based systems use 1.2.36.1.2001.1005.100

This approach aligns with existing national identifier registry practices and reflects the cross-system nature and custodianship of the identifier.
