Clinical Note Document - Local Development build (v26.0.0) built by the FHIR (HL7® FHIR® Standard) Build Tools. See the Directory of published versions
The Clinical Note Document will be implemented by systems that require reporting using AIHW Meteor codes, while the exchange medium FHIR utilises HL7/NCTS codes. NCTS CodeSystems have been created for the METEOR "Person-Indigenous Status, code N", "Person-sex, code X" and "Person-gender, code X" to accommodate the occurrences when METEOR is updated with no significant change to the METEOR value domain codes. These NCTS CodeSystems are then utilised in the relevant ValueSets and ConceptMaps. The concept maps have been created to facilitate the translation of the AIHW Meteor codes with the HL7 codes and vice-versa.
The Clinical Note Document provides standards for the exchange of clinical document notes for the patient, between the CIS and GP systems. The information requirements reference the use of Meteor AIHW data to represent patient demographics (sex, gender, indigenous status) whereas the data exchange medium is FHIR. Concept maps facilitate the exchange of codes from different CodeSystems e.g. METEOR and HL7.
