Health Viewer allows clinicians access to view patient My Health Record information.

Health Viewer v1.0 is the first major release. Health Viewer is a web application that may be added to an existing HIPS v8.3 or higher instance operated by a HIPS site, enabling users to list, download and display CDA™ documents and views from a patient’s My Health Record on their desktop or tablet device.

The key features of the application are:

• Web application for healthcare providers to view a My Health Record for a patient in their care.
• Integrates with an existing HIPS instance (HIPS 8.3 or higher).
• Requires HIPS Core APIs v2.0.
• Works on desktop as well as many popular phones and tablets that can be connected to the Site's internal network.
• Interacts with the national digital health infrastructure via the HIPS instance:
  • Healthcare Identifiers (HI) Service 
  • My Health Record system
• Enables users of devices to select a patient and download and display CDA™ documents and views from the My Health Record.
• Patients can be selected via search features or by adding patients to the clinician's patient list.
• Provides clinically tested views of the My Health Record.
• Comprehensive online documentation.
